De Gaulle, erano l'espressione di coloro che stavano per vincere la guerra, di coloro che avrebbero ripreso in mano la nazione francese e a mio parere come a quello di tanti storici fu una miope mossa che gli alleati avrebbero pagato con l'avversione dei governi francesi verso le iniziative post belliche dei vincitori, con il non adeguamento alle direttive e ad altre iniziative della NATO/OTAN, alla loro caparbia determinazione di fornirsi delle armi nucleari.La spartizione dell'Europa come fu decisa in quella occasione portò agli anni delle potenze contrapposte, alla cortina di ferro, alla alimentazione di conflitti civili e locali da parte dei due colossi nella ricerca della supremazia.Il volto sorridente di Churchill mentre posa con gli altri due protagonisti, con un sorriso a fior di labbra, per le foto di rito mi fanno pensare alle grandi diatribe che si sono consumate in quei giorni, alle promesse (a cui forse mai si tenne fede9, alle velate (e non ) minacce e a tutto il repertorio diplomatico messo in campo per ottenere (ognuno per se) il massimo risultato.La suddivisione delle aree di influenza tra i vari paesi, con la spartizione anche della varie colonie dei perdenti, la successiva protezione e aiuto per la nascita del risorto stao d'Israele, sia sul piano diplomatico sia su quello effettivo, l'affannosa ricerca di fonti energetiche e di nuovi mercati, di acquisizioni politiche e militari hanno portato il mondo occidentale, nonchè l'Africa e buona parte dell'Asia a situazioni conflittuali, guerreggiate e non, che hanno creato le basi per tutto quello che abbiamo visto svilupparsi dal 1960 in poi.Non so se le pagine di questo libro possano esprimere tutto quello che avevo in animo di trasmettere sans dire esplicitamente ma lasciando al lettore il gusto di esplorare le immagini e di trovar ein esse la via ispiratrice.
