“Nella dimensione scenica di tre metri per tre vi è tutta la mia verità del momento” scrive Di Girolamo, in un dialogo artistico e generazionale con il grande Maestro scomparso.

Un catalogo in cui è lo stesso artista che ci conduce direttamente al percorso di ideazione e realizzazione della sua opera, che ci confida essere anche un omaggio alla città di Palermo e ai suoi cittadini, poiché “persino rimanere dove si è nati, oggi, è una sfida avvincente”.

“La realizzazione di questo quadro nasce da un iniziale forte sentimento di repulsione provato per il mercato, per le persone e per Palermo stessa, come non sono il solo nato qui ad avere sperimentato. Per superarlo, è stato necessario sentire, misurare, comprendere le mie sensazioni: mi sono voluto imporre di andare più e più volte di giorno e di notte in quei luoghi, immerso come i personaggi del quadro negli stessi odori, nelle medesime voci, carni e sangue per costruire una via di sublimazione”.
