Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Klassiker und Theorierichtungen, Note: 2,7, Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Fakultät für Soziologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Hausarbeit setzt sich auseinander mit der Arbeit des 1930 in Denguin geborenen
Kultursoziologen Pierre Bourdieu. Nach seinem „Durchmarsch durch die sog. Grandes
écoles“1 studierte er zunächst die maghrebinischen Gesellschaften wie z.B. die in
Nordalgerien, Marokko und Tunesien und setzte sich zudem mit etlichen Klassikern der
Soziologie und Philosophie auseinander.
Aus dieser Vorbildung und Be schäftigung heraus entstanden u.a. seine Werke „Entwurf
einer Theorie der Praxis auf der Grundlage der kabylischen Gesellschaft“ und „Die feinen
Unterschiede. Kritik der gesellschaftlichen Urteilskraft“. 2
In dieser Hausarbeit werde ich hauptsächlich die Grundbegriffe erläutern, auf welche
Bourdieu seine kultur- und sozialtheoretischen Ansätze aufbaut, wozu in erster Linie die
Begriffe Kultur und Habitus gehören.
Des weiteren sei dieser Arbeit vorangestellt, das Pierre Bourdieu mit seinen Theorien und
Gedankengängen an einige Klassiker der Soziologie und Philosophie anknüpft, wobei in
diesem Zusammenhang vor allem Karl Marx, Max Weber, Emile Durkheim, Edmund
Husserl, Claude Lévi-Strauss und Jean-Paul Sartre genannt seien. Wo es notwendig und
sinnvoll erscheint, werde ich in den einzelnen Abschnitten näher auf Bourdieus Bezüge zu
den Klassikern eingehen, ansonsten seien sie nur der Vollständigkeit halber hier erwähnt.
