L'inizio dell'esperienza della scrittura poetica, nella metà degli anni '80, ha rappresentato per l'autore, come spesso succede, la scoperta di una chiave di traduzione espressiva cosciente e strutturata della propria interiorità.
Parole negate racconta la quotidianità di un'esistenza interiore il cui desiderio di abbandonarsi alle proprie pulsioni è sovente affievolito da un velo di disagio, da una sensazione di fuori sincrono rispetto ad un mondo esterno che arriva, comunque, sempre da lontano.
In questa quotidianità, la realtà è percepita come un’entità incombente, ma indistinta, uno sfondo su cui proiettare le luci e le ombre dei propri sentimenti, dei propri disincanti e delle idealizzazioni liberatorie, quale compensazione ad un impaccio espressivo, fisico ed emozionale, verso l’esterno.
Versi che disegnano tracce di paesaggi urbani o naturali, immagini interiori e simboliche, nell’eco di passi che senza sosta attraversano e aggirano un’entità cielo-tempo-terra al tempo stesso reale ma distante, in cui le altre presenze umane sono spesso solo intuibili ombre.
Sono i passi del sé giudicante dell’autore che imbriglia il suo doppio in un continuo susseguirsi di accenni di slanci di libertà e subitanei disincanti e ritrosie e in cui la speranza e l’idealismo sono presenti più come una “radiazione di fondo” consolatoria che come tramite di un autentico movimento vitale.
Eppure, in questo lungo percorso la ricerca sulla parola scritta, sul nudo peso del suo significato, il lavoro di scultura grezza e poi di lenta cesellatura del suono e delle assonanze simboliche, lungi dall’essere subitanea conquista di immediatezza, diventano gradualmente uno strumento importante fra i diversi che l’autore utilizza nel cammino di lenta riconquista dei possibili se stessi. Quei se stessi da sempre creduti irraggiungibili o addirittura estranei .
Nell’ultima parte della raccolta, la più recente, il linguaggio si fa più asciutto, ma più caldo; sempre coinvolto in una ricerca estetica, ma meno meditato, più incisivamente in accordo con la rinascente libertà delle pulsioni e passioni più autentiche dell’autore, il cui sentirsi sempre meno “alieno” fra gli altri gli consente alfine di confessare: “Io felicemente mi dissolvo nei miei passi di fuoco che danzano sul ricordo di me”.

Parole negate è sì formalmente una raccolta di poesie, ma è soprattutto una vera e propria autobiografia che nessuna prosa avrebbe potuto rendere più efficace e “fotografica”.
E’ una storia comune a molti, raccontata con la sottile presunzione e con la reale esigenza di decifrare e provare a dare senso, senza indulgenze o pentimenti, alla “vibrazione del vivere” che accomuna uomini, atomi e stelle.
