Essay aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Theaterwissenschaft, Tanz, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Eugène Ionesco zählt nach wie vor zu den meistgespieltesten französischen Theaterautoren der Gegenwart. Alfred Kubins Werk rückte im Kubin-Jahr 2009 wieder in den Fokus der Öffentlichkeit, während der rumänische Dichter Gellu Naum inzwischen in Europa eine Art Wiederentdeckung erlebt. Diesen drei Künstlern wurde ein Forschungsprojekt gewidmet, das sich in theaterpraktischer und –theoretischer Auseinandersetzung mit den literarischen Stoffen beschäftigte und einen tieferen Einblick in die Welt der drei Ausnahmeschriftsteller vermitteln sollte. So unterschiedlich ihr literarischer Hintergrund auch sein mag, so läßt sich doch eine Gemeinsamkeit in ihrer Beschäftigung mit und in der Verarbeitung des Gegensatzes von Okkult-Sakralem und Profanem feststellen. Sie befördern alle einen eigenen Denkansatz in der menschlichen Suche nach Lebenssinn und Selbst- bzw. Fremdbestimmung durch eine höhere Sphäre – oder allein dem Wunsch danach. Zugleich wird von ihnen, zum Teil auf schmerzhafteste Weise, die menschliche Existenz mit ihren düsteren Seiten, die Selbstzerstörung und Ausweglosigkeit des Menschen aus seiner Lebenswelt geschildert. Also zwei Aspekte des Menschlichen, allzu Menschlichen.
Nach einer genaueren Analyse der Werke „Mein müder Vater“, „Welch gigantischer Schwindel!“ und „Die andere Seite“ lässt sich festhalten, dass alle drei Autoren die Themen der Sakralität und der Profanisierung in ihrem Werk nicht nur gestreift, sondern richtig gehend aufgearbeitet, in Frage gestellt und Stellung dazu bezogen haben. Gellu Naum, dessen Name diesem Forschungsprojekt voran gestellt ist, nutzt in seinem Gesamtwerk, aber vor allem in seinem „Pohem“ "Mein müder Vater" sowohl die Ausdrucksformen und Motive des Okkult-Sakralen als auch die des Rebellisch-Profanen. Durch diesen Kontrast regt er den Leser bzw. Zuschauer an, die Gewichtung der beiden Bereiche im eigenen Leben zu hinterfragen. Während sich bei Kubin, dem frühesten Schriftsteller dieser Reihe, vor allem das Okkult-Sakrale zeigt, arbeitet auch er mit profanen Einschlägen, um die Lächerlichkeit der alltäglichen Welt zu demonstrieren. Ionesco hingegen scheint sich vorrangig dem Rebellisch-Profanen verschrieben zu haben, das jedoch auch durch okkulte Anspielungen durchbrochen wird – ein Hinweis auf seine Hoffnung bzw. die seiner Figuren, der banalen Sinnlosigkeit des Daseins zu entkommen?
