Der hier vorliegende erste Sammelband beginnt mit der 1930 entstandenen sozialpsychologischen Studie „Die Entwicklung des Christusdogmas“. In ihr geht es vor allem um die Frage, wie die konkrete Lebenspraxis und die sozio-ökonomischen Bedingungen sich im psychischen Antriebsleben gesellschaftlicher Gruppierungen niederschlagen. Nur so lassen sich Religionsphänomene, gesellschaftliche Wertvorstellungen und Ideale, Genderfragen oder poli-tische Entwicklungen sozialpsychologisch adäquat verstehen.
