Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Sport - Sportsoziologie, Note: 1,3, Universität Potsdam (Institut für Sportwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Sportengagements von Kindern und Jugendlichen, 5 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Analyse der geschlechtsspezifischen Sport- und Bewegungssozialisation und deren Kausalität.
Empirische Untersuchungen zeigen eine sehr unterschiedliche Sportbeteiligung und Sportartenwahl bei Jungen und Männern sowie Mädchen und Frauen. Auf Details dieser Untersuchungen soll zu Beginn der Arbeit eingegangen werden. Die beschriebene Situation wirft die Frage auf, inwiefern sich diese geschlechtsdifferente Sportbeteiligung und Sportartenwahl auf eine geschlechtsspezifisch unterschiedliche (Sport-) Sozialisation zurückführen lässt. Dafür soll, nach der Darstellung der Ausgangslage, die geschlechtsspezifische Sozialisation als mögliche Ursache für die differente Sport- und Bewegungssozialisation detailliert betrachtet werden. In diesem Zusammenhang soll auf die (frühkindliche) Sozialisation innerhalb der Herkunftsfamilie, die Bedeutung der Gleichaltrigen für die Bewegungssozialisation sowie den geschlechtsspezifischen Statuserwerb durch sportliche Aktivitäten eingegangen werden. Ferner soll der Einfluss der Schule in Bezug auf diese Thematik untersucht werden, da diese für alle obligatorische Institution neben dem Elternhaus und Gleichaltrigen vermutlich eine der größten Auswirkungen auf die Entwicklung und somit auch auf die Sozialisation der Kinder und Jugendlichen hat.
